About Awakened

We are a Guild dedicated to enjoying each other's company and with a goal for Roleplay and End-Game exploration on the Steamwheedle Cartel (US) RP server .

Awakened was formed in January of 2007 from the joining of Valiant Dream and Remnant (Formerly Knights of the WAY). Presently the guild is led by a Council of fun, involved players.

Awakened is a guild whose goal is to explore the most challenging content in World of Warcraft while at the same time providing a rich, friendly environment for its members, which we hope will foster role-playing between them. We choose to pursue this content neither because it brings epic loot nor because it makes us "elite", but because it's fun, exciting, and provides us with a sense of hard-won accomplishment.

We expect to achieve that goal through teamwork, dedication, mutual generosity, and mutual assistance. This means that our members expect to adventure together to achieve guild and individual goals. Each member carries the expectation that he will need help with something someday, and repays that expectation of assistance with the willingness to help others in the guild today.

We're looking for the sort of player who would truly be a member of the team. One who'll step up and be that last, most necessary member in the instance group. One who'll set his place on the loot distribution aside because the item that just dropped advances a guildmate's RP story, or simply "makes their day". One who wants to be on the receiving end of those benefits as well... because we can't realize those benefits unless all of our members are ready to make the small sacrifices required to provide them to each other.

We don't expect to be the first on the server to defeat any boss. We don't expect to be the second or third, either. But we do expect to get there, when we're ready, as a tight-knit group of friends, who'll just naturally do "the right thing" for the guild and for each other."
